A cold beer might pair well with a burger, but at Bonfire Wines, we like to think outside the bottle. This summer, we’re pairing our favorite cookout foods with Bonfire’s Ember (a red blend) and Bonfire’s Ignite (a white blend). We even shared our new favorite pairing with the attendees of a recent special event right here in Chicago.
This summer, Bonfire Wines teamed up with the 100 Club Chicago Junior Board to help sponsor its “Pig Out for Charity” event hosted at 25 Degrees. At the fourth annual burger eating contest between a few of the Chicago Police Department’s renowned 1st, 12th, 18th and 19th districts, guests sipped on Bonfire Wines, 2 Gingers Whiskey and Chicago’s finest Old Style brews.
The Hundred Club began in Detroit to help provide for the widows and dependents of policemen and firemen who lose their lives in the line of duty. We were proud to partner with the local chapter to raise funds for the organization and enjoyed supporting our very own Chicago’s finest.
Our founder/CEO Eric Steigelman pours wine for guests. Our wine chills 65% faster than a typical bottle, so we kept everyone refreshed all evening!
Chicago Sun-Times Splash’s Zak Stemer enjoys a Bonfire moment with friends.
Burgers were the name of the game at this unconventional eating contest. Luckily, 25 Degrees kept the crowd well-fed.
The competition was stiff in the burger eating contest but Chicago’s celebrated police districts managed to impress the crowd over and over again.
The proud winners stood tall with their prize! The best part: the funds raised will help support the members of the 100 Club Chicago who dedicate their lives to our public health and safety.
We were happy to be a part of a great event. What could be better than meeting and mingling with new friends over delicious Bonfire Wine on a beautiful summer night in Chicago?
